Helicopter crash in Afghanistan: efforts being made for safe recovery of crew: Shahbaz

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif went to the residence of helicopter Pilot Colonel Shafiq ur Rehman (Retd), Flight Engineer Colonel Nasir Mahmood (Retd) at Askari-10 and Pilot Colonel Safdar Husain (Retd) at State Life Housing Society here Friday and met their sons and families.
He sympathised with them over the incident of helicopter in Loggar area of Afghanistan and apprised them of the efforts of the Punjab government for the safe recovery of helicopter crew. He assured that all out resources are being utilised for the safe recovery of the crew of the helicopter and it is hoped that the efforts in this regard will succeed.
Talking to the sons and families of Shafiq ur Rehman, Flight Engineer Nasir Mahmood and Safdar Husain, the Chief Minister said that the incident that took place in Loggar Afghanistan is sad, however, by the grace of Allah the crew is safe. The Chief Minister said that government is making efforts at every level for the safe recovery. He said that he is also in contact with concerned federal institutions in this regard.
He said that he is in contact with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatmi and other authorities. The Chief Minister assured that all available resources will be utilised for the safe recovery of pilots and other crew.
