CDG renames Fish Form Chowk as Passban Chowk

City District Government has renamed the Fish Form Chowk at Satiana Road as Passban Chowk. Chairman FDA and Member Punjab Assembly Sh. Ejaz Ahmad formally inaugurated the renamed chowk in the presence of Vice Chairman WASA Mian Irfan Mannan and Chairman Passban Group Major Shahnawazul Hassan (retired).
Sh. Ejaz Ahmad appreciated the services of philanthropists and industrialists for the development and beautification of the city and the betterment of the suffering humanity.
"Passban Group has been playing remarkable role to help overcome the issue of unemployment in the society, hence, a chowk of Satiana Road has been renamed as Passban Chowk to recognize its great services," he said.
He said that due to traffic issues, the remodelling of Passban Chowk had been completed at the cost of Rs15.70 million. He said that PML-N government had focused its attention on the rapid development of the country and a number of mega development projects had been completed for the welfare of the people. He said that CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had provided huge funds for the development projects of Faisalabad and the city was being given the look of a prosperous and developed city. He vowed that the journey of development and progress would continue and all the obstacles created by enemies of the development would be overcome successfully.
Vice Chairman WASA Mian Irfan Mannan also spoke on the occasion while Chairman Passban Group Major Shahnawazul Hassan (Rtd.) thanked the district government for reaming Fish Form Chowk as Passban Chowk saying it was an honour for his organisation. Briefing on working of Passban Welfare Foundation, he expressed his commitment to continue welfare services.
