On Friday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 6,878 million and the number of lots traded was 14,582. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,990. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3,628 million. This was followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2,312 million, silver PKR 485.33 million, crude oil PKR 439.58 million and cotton PKR 11.65 million.
