I am particularly happy to have had the opportunity to host, in my residence, on August 5th, the ceremony during which H.E. Mrs Martine Dorance, Ambassador of France to Pakistan, has bestowed the title of "Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite" upon Mr Shabir Ahmed, in the presence of his family as well as of many friends and partners.
Mr Shabir Ahmed is a leading businessman, entrepreneur and industrialist in Pakistan. For more than 15 years, in the field of textiles, he has been establishing strong and durable trade relations with France. He has displayed a special dedication and commitment to promote business between Pakistan and France.
The Consulate of France in Karachi is specially proud to remain, since many years, in close and friendly connection with Mr Shabir Ahmed. The merits and achievements of Mr Shabir Ahmed have been duly recognised by the President of the French Republic.
