Shanghai copper flat, zinc up

Shanghai Futures Exchange zinc rose 2.1 percent by the close while Shanghai copper finished flat on Wednesday as the dollar eased and risk appetite focused on zinc, which has rallied on bets a shortage of mine supply will curb output of refined metal. In other metals, Shanghai tin rallied 2.5 percent in the overnight session after the suspension of some tin smelters in China that did not meet environmental standards looked set to extend beyond mid-month.
