The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party has approved the Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control & Communication (PPIC3) Centre, Lahore (Revised) at the cost of Rs 13.717 billion. This scheme was approved in the 9th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Secretary P&DD Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
Official sources told Business Recorder that the Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control & Communication (PPIC3) Centre is designed to modernize law and order related technology infrastructure , improve the Punjab police systems and capabilities, professionalize police response to incidents and ensure mission focused movements.
