SHO murder: police submits challan against Uzair Baloch

The police on Friday submitted a charge sheet (challan) in an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) against notorious ringleader of Lyari gang-war Uzair Baloch and other gangsters in a case of murdering SHO Civil Lines Fawwad Khan and injuring others in an encounter.
It was submitted in the charge sheet that the SHO Khan died and others personnel were injured on the 28th April 2012.
The SHO Khan had gone to Lyari's Afshani Street to arrest the criminals when they hurled hand-grenades and opened fire. Resultantly, SHO Khan died and five others including Constable Iftikhar were injured.
The Lyari gangsters' instigator Uzair Baloch was nominated as one of the main suspects in the case.
The administrative judge accepted the challan and transferred the case to concerned ATC for further trial.
The case was registered under sections 302(premeditated murder), 324(attempted murder), 353(assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of Pakistan Penal Code and 4/5 (explosive substance Act) read with section 7 of Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
