'Still struggling to fight terrorism'

This is apropos yesterday's Business Recorder editorial "Still struggling to fight terrorism". It has been plausibly argued that "Unfortunately, it took the ghastly Quetta terror attack for the civil and military leadership to put their heads together and identify the rights and wrongs of the policy response to the menace of terrorism."
How ironic, however, it is that the present government has waited for the Quetta tragedy before it could wake up from its slumber. For example, it has decided to form a task force with a view to providing oversight to the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP). Little does it, however, realise that the situation brooks no complacency.
