Punjab government launching e-job training plan

The Punjab government is launching e-job training programme for the youth in order to provide them respectable job opportunities while a programme is already being implemented for imparting various skills to two million youth as per requirements of the market till 2018. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said this while talking to a representative delegation of youth, here Monday.
Shahbaz said that more than 60-percent population of the country comprises youth who are a precious asset of the nation. The Punjab government has taken a number of revolutionary measures to empower youth and positive results are being witnessed of these programmes aimed at progress, empowerment and creation of job opportunities for the youth.
He said that provision of resources for empowerment of youth is useful investment in the future of Pakistan and maximum resources will be made available for this purpose. Similarly, thousands of youth has been imparted training in various skills under Skill Development Programme and youth have also been provided interest-free loans of billions of rupees for starting their own business.
The Chief Minister said that 50 thousand vehicles have been distributed among the youth on merit and in a transparent manner under 'Apna Rozgar' Scheme. He said that laptops worth billions of rupees have also been distributed among youth on merit basis so as to enable them gain the latest knowledge.
He further said that talented male and female students of low-income families are acquiring higher education at local and foreign universities with the help of Punjab Endowment Fund and their number has exceeded 150,000. He said that destiny of the nation will be changed through equipping the youth with the latest knowledge and the dream of progress and prosperity of the country will be realised through empowerment of youth.
The youth delegation, while expressing its views said that Punjab government led by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken commendable measures for the progress of youth and its revolutionary programmes for youth empowerment are yielding positive results. The delegation also gave a gold medal to the Chief Minister for his revolutionary measures for the welfare and empowerment of youth.
