'Niday-e-Ummat Conference' to be held on August 18

To express solidarity and to pay homage to the martyrs of Quetta blast and for annihilation of terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence, "Niday-e-Ummat Conference" is being held on Thursday, August 18 in Islamabad under the aegis of Pakistan Ulema Council. Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi talking to office-bearers of Pakistan Ulema Council Islamabad chapter here on Tuesday said that unity of Muslim Ummah is sole and ultimatum panacea to resolve confronting challenges of Muslim world.
Leadership of all religious sects and different schools of thought should get united and carry out a joint struggle for annihilation of terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence, said Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi adding that terrorists organisations like Daesh (IS) are defaming Muslims and Islam on account of religious fundamentalism. He said that menace of extremism and terrorism is also taking momentum in other religions of the world contrary to Muslims as youths of other religions is also pursuing the way of terrorism and extremism.
Amidst this scenario, it is only dialogue that can defeat extremist mindset, said Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council also urged on leadership of Pakistan Ulema Council Islamabad Chapter to ensure appropriate arrangements for "Niday-e-Ummat Conference". "Niday-e-Ummat Conference" will be attended by delegates and representatives of different religions and religious sects and an unanimous code of conduct at national; and international level will also be presented at the conference. The conference will also educate public on prevailing scenario relating peace situation in Kashmir, Palestine, Yemen, Iraq and Syria.-PR
