Four militants arrested in raid by SIU

At least four terrorists of banned outfit were arrested in a raid of Special Investigation Unit (SIU) and intelligence agencies in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Tuesday. While holding a press conference, SIU Senior Superintendent of Police Farooq Awan said that an action was launched against the terrorists near Disco Bakery in which as many as four militants were detained.
He said suspects, identified as Azhar Hussain, Abdul Adeel, Kashif Ali and Syed Alim, allegedly had contacts with Abu Sufyan group who attacked Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada. SSP said they were also involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion, murders by adorning police uniform and street crimes. The criminals used to purchase arms and bombs from the dacoity money, he added. The senior police officer said arrested terrorists dodged the people by showing themselves as advertisers on social websites. It was also learnt that the terrorists were planning to attack or kidnap a high official.
