ITU signs MoU with Harvard University

Professor Jennifer Leaning, François-Xavier Bagnoud Professor of the Practice of Health and Human Rights and Director of the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights, Harvard University visited the Centre for Governance and Policy, Information Technology University (IT U) Lahore on Friday to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITU.
Speaking on this occasion Vice-Chancellor ITU Dr Umar Saif, said that the university stands for academic excellence and its partnering with Harvard on this important project shows our commitment to cutting edge and critical research which will enable us to understand an important aspect of our own history, and an important epoch in the history of the world. Professor Leaning said "I am delighted to partner with ITU on this initiative. With its dynamic and innovative vision ITU is a natural partner for Harvard in Pakistan."
Later, Professor Leaning visited the Punjab Archives, the Civil Secretariat Library, and gave a talk to leading historian and analysts at ITU on the significance of the project. Zaheer Sarwar, Registrar and Dr Yaqoub Bangash was also present at the occasion.
