20 Aug, 2016

Former Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir and President PTI AJK Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry while issuing proofs of election rigging has said that a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) admitted to draw Rs 20 million from Kashmir Council funds.
He also presented proofs of vote purchasing through schemes and by giving cash. With whitepaper, a notification was also given which shows that instead of AJK Local Government, the Council set up its own cell for implementation over schemes in elections where a close friend of Minister for Kashmir Affairs was appointed.
On this matter, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry said, he wrote a letter with an attached copy of the whitepaper to Army Chief General Raheel Sharif to investigate these election riggings. He said through this letter he had demanded the CoAS Raheel Sharif to investigate the matter himself as election rigging will have its negative impacts on Kashmir Freedom Movement, saying Army and Kashmir both are essential for each other. In the light of rigging committed in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Ex-premier Barrister Sultan also suggested to conduct fresh elections there.-PR
