Bosnian envoy highlights importance of education

Bosnia and Pakistan are identical Muslim countries and they must invest in education to bring qualitative socio economic changes in their societies, said His Excellency Dr Nedim Makarevic ambassador of Bosnia.
He was addressing a cultural show organized by Bosnian embassy in Pakistan in a local hotel here last night. He was worried about the poor literacy rate in Pakistan and said that it was main cause of poverty and illiteracy particularly in the Muslims dominant countries and said that Bosnia intends to play its role in improving the literacy rate in Pakistan.
In this connection they had initially selected Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the establishment of quality girls' schools, but now they are also focusing on the remote rural areas of Punjab where female literacy was dismally poor. Two Bosnian female artists played piano and violin along with the musician of local hotel.
The function was also addressed by Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz president of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, former president Engineer Suhail Bin Rasheed, Sheikh Abdul Qayyum, Executive members Haji Muhammad Adrees, Rana Sikandar Azam, Former Vice president Shahid Ahmed Sheikh, Chaudhry Muhammad Asgher and Ahmed Hussain also attended this function.
