Police fail to control auto thefts in Capital

Islamabad Police have failed to control street crimes and car thefts in the Federal Capital, as an increase in the incidents of robberies, burglaries, motor vehicle theft, murder and kidnappings were witnessed during the last week. According to data gathered by Business Recorder, the city various police stations registered three cases of robberies, one case of auto theft, three cases of murder, three cases of kidnapping and six cases of cheques dishonor charges during the last week.
During the period under review, the most favourite areas for robbers and auto theft gangs were within the limits of Sabzi Mandi, Ramana and Kohsar police stations. Sabzi Mandi police station registered one case each of robbery and murder during last week. Sheikh Bilal Akram informed Sabzi Mandi police station that the accused Nisar Ahmad, his servant, stole Rs 700000 from his shop. Muhammad Shahid of sector I-11/4 registered a complaint with Sabzi Mandi police station that Habibi Ullah along with an unknown person killed his owner Muhammad Yaqub.
Aabpara police station registered one case each of robbery, kidnapping and cheques dishonor. Abid Hafiz of sector G-7/3 lodged a complaint with Aabpara police station that laptops and two mobile phones have been stolen from his house. Raja Tanveer Ahmad of sector G-6/1-4 informed Aabpara police station that Usman and his accomplices kidnapped his daughter.
Ramana police station registered two cases of robberies. Naveed Yousaf Butt of sector G-11/2 lodged a complaint with Ramana police station that unknown people stole laptop, cash and mobile phone from his house. Nasir Mehmood of sector G-10/1 informed Ramana police station that unknown robbers stole two laptops, four mobiles and a camera from his house.
Kohsar police station registered once case of auto theft and three cheques dishonors. Auto thieves stole a car (LXD-259) of Baseer-ul-Islam from Blue Area. Shalimar police station registered one case each of murder and cheques dishonor. Malik Tariq Ayub of sector F-10/3 lodged a complaint with Shalimar police station that Raja Arshad, Nauman and their eight accomplices shot dead Fahad Malik Koral police station registered a case of kidnapping. Mukhtar Ahmad of Mehriban Town lodged a complaint with Koral police station that the accused Iftikhar Ahmad and Ghafar Ahmad kidnapped his daughter. Farzana a resident of sector F-8/1 lodged a complaint with Margalla police station that the accused Muhammad Iqbal along with two unknown persons stormed in to her house and looted gold ornament, cash and mobile phone at gunpoint.
Gul Zeb of Bani Gala registered a complaint with Bani Gala police station that the accused Sabir Khan, Khursheed and Ferman have kidnapped his daughter Amna Bibi. Adnan Rasheed of Chatta Bakhtawar lodged a complaint with Shehzad Town police station that his two months old son Hasher was strangulated to death by the accused Sabier and his three accomplices. Muhammad Amjad of sector H-13 lodged a complaint with Shams Colony that three armed person broke into his house and looted cash, gold ornament, four watches and mobile at gunpoint. Meanwhile Islamabad Police on Saturday recovered a nine-year-old child who was kidnapped from Lahore.
