Rashid calls for unity among Muslims to overcome challenges

Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has stressed on unity among the Muslim Ummah to successfully deal with contemporary challenges. Speaking at a conference on Muslims unity and dignity of the holy shrines of Mecca and Medina he said a Muslim couldn't conspire against a Muslim.
The Minister said Islam preaches, peace, harmony and tolerance, and had nothing to do with terrorism. He said the Muslims will not hesitate to offer any sacrifice to protect the Islamic holy sites in Mecca and Medina (Saudi Arabia).
Earlier, religious scholars from various Muslim countries underlined the importance of unity among the Muslim Ummah.
Imam of Masjid-e-Aqsa Dr Akrama Saeed Sabri said that Pakistan and Pakistanis had a special attachment and love with Aqsa mosque and Palestinians.
He said that all Muslims should show unity to ensure the freedom of occupief Jerusalem (Bait-ul-Muqaddas from the dominance of Israel.
Sahibzada Awais Noorani suggested that a common force of all Muslim countries should be established for security of Harmain Sharifain.
Maulana Samiul Haq said that peace in the world would not be ensured without assurance of security of Harmain Sharifain. He said that non-Muslim countries were hesitating to support the struggles of Kashmiris and Palestinian but they were fully supporting Israeli and Indian atrocities against Muslims.
Deputy Minister Religious Affairs of Saudi Arabia Dr Abdur Rehman, Saudi Ambassador Abdullah Al Marzouq Al Zahrani, Sheikh Adil Member Majlis Shura of Bahrain, Grand Mufti of Turkey Sheikh Raheemi Yaran and others also spoke at the conference.
