Killing of cleric widely Condemned

Religious scholars from different schools of thoughts, have condemned the killing of a religious cleric, and asked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to take prompt steps for protection of the lives and property of the masses in the province.
This was stated by Ahle Hadis Maulana Maqsood Salfi, Professor Dr Qibla Ayaz from Devbandi, and Maulana Ihsanullah Masni of Shiitee, JUI Nazaryati Zubair Ahmad Advocate, and Tamheed from Devband while speaking at a news conference, organized under aegis of Kul Masalak Ulema Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at press club on Sunday. Maulana Maqsood Salfi strongly condemned the recent killing of Maulana Ghulam Hazrat Muhammad from Barelavi Maslak, and caretaker of religious seminary Darul Hanaf Ghang in Jahangir; in which her mother injured. He demanded of the government to immediate arrest the killers.
"It's a cowardly act of terrorism, which is highly deplorable. Perpetrators, and responsible must be brought to justice, Salfi said. He vowed that they would continue work for forging unity, and brotherhood. He criticised that the provincial government and law enforcement agencies had failed to ensure protection of lives and property of the masses. He expressed fear that if the government would remain silent on such incident of terrorism, then nobody can feel themselves safe and secure in the province, he added.
Maulana Ihsanullah said that it was prime responsibility of government to ensure protection of lives and property of the masses. He said killing of Maulana Ghulam Hazrat Muhammad is cowardly act, which strongly deplorable and government should take serious notice of this incident, he asked. He urged the religious scholars to play their due role for forging unity, tranquility and brotherhood to avoid sectarian violence in the province.
