Trade activities at Pak-Afghan border come to a grinding halt

The extended closure of Bab-e-Pakistan (friendship gate) at Pak-Afghan border due to border clashes, has adversely affected the trade activities between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Afghan authorities closed the border on August 18 in the wake of security concerns but tensions deepened when some Afghan miscreants staged protests and desecrated the Pakistani flag.
Taking notice of the incident, the security personnel closed the gate that badly affected trade and business activities between the two countries.
