Quetta tragedy: lawyers stage protest

More than 50,000 lawyers of Southern Punjab on Monday boycotted their court proceedings against Quetta tragedy and failure of law enforcing agencies to apprehend the culprits behind this carnage. Lawyers also held demonstrations and rallies in Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahimyar Khan and other cities and demanding immediate arrest of the culprits.
President of High Court Bar Multan Jamshed Hayat Sheikh said that we have organised protest rallies at the call of Pakistan Bar Council, an apex institution of legal fraternity. He said that the lawyers will never be scared of terrorist attacks. He said the brave lawyers are ready to face any challenge including that of terrorism.
