Creation, development of Pakistan: Nisar praises role of Urdu-speaking community

Criticising Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain's highly vitriolic speech against Pakistan, federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said the government has taken up the issue with British authorities to take action against him. Flanked by Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan at Governor's House, Nisar told media persons that government would certainly take action against Altaf in accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan.
"Insofar as British authorities are concerned, we are look forward to a breakthrough," Nisar said. Nisar said that Urdu-speaking community has rendered unmatched sacrifices in the creation and development of Pakistan. "Pakistan's integrity shall never be allowed to be harmed," Nisar said.
Nisar also applauded the role of media. He said nobody would allowed to hold Karachi hostage. "It was for the first time in 25 years that Karachi was not held hostage," he added. He appreciated the chief minister for rushing to the spot of the incident and then visiting TV channels to give confidence to media houses and their workers. The meeting decided to work out a detailed plan to provide security to media houses.
He said some elements have nefarious agenda to disturb the peace of Karachi. When asked extension of Army Chief's service tenure, he said the position is professional not political one". He said Sindh government has been asked to devise a policy on the issue of MQM's offices sealed by law enforcement agencies.
