Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) has submitted a Calling Attention Notice in the National Assembly Secretariat regarding transfer of $7.9 billion out of Pakistan during the last three years. PPP MNAs Dr Nafisa Shah, Syed Naveed Qamar, Yousaf Talpur, Imran Zafar Laghari and Muhammad Ayaz Soomro submitted a Calling Attention Notice in the National Assembly Secretariat on Thursday.
According to Calling Attention Notice, "we the undersigned would like to invite the attention of Minister for Finance toward the out of country transfer of massive amount of 7.9 billion dollars from Pakistan especially during last three years. It is baffling that the government is unaware of the purposes for which the money has been sent out of the country due to lax legislation in this regard. This is a serious matter and needs immediate discussion on the floor of the House." The Calling Attention Notice was submitted under rule 88 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in National Assembly 2007.
