HCCM USA to introduce education system in Tevta Institutes

Holyoke Community College Massachusetts USA will introduce its education system in Tevta Institutes for adults to train unemployed youth of Punjab as liable citizens. This decision was taken on Thursday during a meeting of Chairperson Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) Irfan Qaiser Sheikh with two-member delegation of Holyoke Community College USA.
The delegation was headed by Vice President adult education programme Holyoke Community College Massachusetts USA Kirmet Berg alongwith Programme Officer American Educational Foundation in Pakistan Rahat Kareem. Chairperson Tevta Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that the visit was decided a month ago when Tevta officers visited USA to attend training for the promotion of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system in Punjab. The purpose of the US delegation's visit at Tevta is to study technical educational and vocational system in Punjab.
He further added that various foreign agencies were already supporting Tevta Punjab to spread TVET system in Punjab due to its outstanding performance. The delegation had already visited Tevta institutions of Lahore and Rawalpindi and appreciated the efforts of Tevta.
Vice President Adult Education Programme Holyoke Community College Massachusetts USA Kirmet Berg said US would help Tevta Punjab in introducing adult educational programs and these projects would be soon finalised. He also discussed the possibilities of training Pakistani trainers regarding teaching advanced technologies.
