52,000 health workers: Punjab government regularises services

The Punjab government has regularised services of 52,000 workers of the National Programme for Family Planning (Lady Health Workers Programme) including lady health workers, lady health supervisors, accounts supervisors and drivers with effect from July 2012.
The Punjab Chief Minister's Advisor on Health, Khawaja Salman Rafique on Thursday distributed the regularisation orders among the office bearers of Lady Health Workers Association. Punjab Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Punjab (P&SH), Director General Health and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary P&SH said the terms and conditions of services shall be regulated under the provision of the Punjab Civil Servant Act.1974. Regularisation orders would be issued to the individual employees in accordance with the Act by the respective appointing authorities.
