Punjab government to set up forum against hepatitis

The Punjab government has decided to set up an independent forum comprising officers from all the concerned departments to control hepatitis on the pattern of dengue. Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique revealed this while talking to Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute Trust Chairman Professor Dr Saeed Akhtar here on Friday.
He said the forum would be set up after the approval of Punjab chief minister and officers from the departments of environment, education, auqaf, Punjab healthcare commission; blood transfusion authority, police, home department and PITB would be included in it. He said the forum had the target of treating 300 patients on daily basis.
