PM, his family members won't survive the Panama Leaks: Kaira

29 Aug, 2016

Information Secretary of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the government was making all out efforts to 'bury' the Panama Leaks issue but its attempts would not be allowed to succeed.
Talking to media persons here on Sunday, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was scared of accountability in line with the disclosures by Panama Papers leaks because there was no chance that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members could be able to survive. "The PPP stands with the opposition parties on the issue of corruption of the ruling elites and definitely it would be on the streets to lodge protests and stage anti-government demonstrations," he said.
Responding to a question, the PPP information secretary said that it would be the biggest misfortune if the issue of Panama papers leaks was put under the carpet without undergoing any investigation. Kaira also expressed concerns over the pace of investigation and action on the anti-state hate-speech of Altaf Hussain.
