Hot, dry weather predicted

The Met Office on Friday forecast mainly hot and dry weather for most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. It said that rain-thunderstorm was expected at isolated places in Malakand and Hazara Divisions, besides Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas over the period. "Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. A trough of Westerly wave persists over Kashmir and adjoining areas," it said. Weather in next 48 hours: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.
Rainfall: In Punjab: Sargodha and Bhakkar 12 mm, Lahore (A/P 10 mm, City 5 mm), Murree 5 mm, Chakwal 4mm, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Balakot 10 mm, Kalam 8 mm, Pattan 5 mm, FATA: Parachinar 8 mm, Gilgit-Baltistan; Gupis 8 mm, Sakrdu 3 mm, Kashmir; Garhi Dupatta 4 mm, Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot 3 mm, each and Balochistan; Zhob 2 mm.
