Sindh to take up issue of 'textile city' with Centre: Wassan

Minister for Industries and Commerce Sindh, Manzoor Hussain Wassan has assured business community that the Sindh government will take-up the issue of textile city with federal government after consultation of Chief Minister. Addressing members of Site Association of Industry (SAI) and later taking to newsmen, he said we will not allow it to be closed down and added that around Rs 1.8 billion has been encore on this project.
Referring to property valuation issue, he said that the valuation of property is not an issue of federal government and Sindh government will soon resolve this issue. He expressed that water crisis will be resolved after completion of K-4 project. He articulated that the department alone can not resolve issues related to industries. All departments have to work jointly and in coordination with each other to resolve the issues, he added. He agreed to increase water quota for industries.
Referring to Layari expressway, he said that the project will be completed by the end of December this year. The minister said that Sindh produce around 71 percent of total gas produced in the country and 44 percent crude oil. Sindh did not get its due share although it has huge share in total gas and oil production, he added.
