Reading habit plays pivotal role in building academic skills: MUET VC

The reading habit plays pivotal role in building the academic skills of the future generation and there is the need of setting up libraries in the academic institutions so that the students could develop their proficiency in the related subjects. These views were expressed by the Vice Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro Professor Dr Muhammad Aslam Uqaialy while inaugurating "Zahid Suleman Memon Library" at Mehran University Higher Secondary Public School Jamshoro on Monday.
The library has been established by Suleman Memon Family in memory of Zahid Suleman, who lost his life in Karachi in 2015 during an attempt of snatching of Cellular phone set. It is the fifth library which set up by Suleman Memon Family in different educational institutions of Sindh.
The Vice Chancellor said that a health atmosphere could be brought in the society by motivating the future builders to adopt right direction of success with reading the books in libraries. The importance of libraries in strengthening the mental capability of the nations cannot be ignored, he said and added that setting up the maximum libraries in the society would open new vistas of success, progress and prosperity.
