Importers have recently purchased about 66,000 tonnes of soybeans to be sourced from the US Gulf, European traders said on Monday. The soybeans are for shipment between November and December, they said. Pakistan has been a heavy buyer of soybeans from North and S America in past months as local processors increased seed crushings. Import tariffs favour purchases of oilseeds rather than processed oilseed meals for animal feed.
