A prominent business figure of United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Chairman of Al-Zarooni Foundation, Suhail Mohd Al-Zarooni has said that the socio-economic development of the country was closely linked with law and order situation hence, the government of Pakistan, besides ensuring sustainable law and order, must take measures to provide full security to the lives and properties of citizens, particularly foreign investors and traders in order to encourage worldwide investors to invest in this part of the region.
Paying paid glowing tribute to the Armed Forces and Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) for successfully carrying out operation Zarb-e-Azb, he said that terrorism related incidents, followed by the loss of hundreds of innocent lives senda very negative message to the world about Pakistan, which hinders the economic activities by shaking the confidence of foreign businessmen and investors.
However, this negative image has now been transformed to a positive and soft image due to the effectual Operation against terrorists being carried out by the patriotic Armed Forces of Pakistan.
He said that the entire world fully appreciates the efforts made under'Operation Zarb-e-Azb' to deal with extremism and terrorism, which has resulted in gradually improving the law & order situation across Pakistan whereas it was heartening to note that the situation has also been progressively improving in the economic hub of Pakistan after the commencement of 'Karachi Operation' which yielded positive results and helped in restoring the trade and industrial activities in Karachi to a certain extent.
Sohail Al-Zarooni, while recounting the services rendered by Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, said, "No matter how much we acknowledge the services of General Raheel Sharif, our acknowledgement will remain incomplete keeping in view the enormous contribution and services of the Army Chief."
He advised the General Raheel Sharif to invite all political parties and representatives of media houses at Army Headquarters and everyone must jointly make a pledge that no act against Pakistan will be allowed at any cost. "This pledge will send a very good signal to the rest of world as it will tell the world that everyone is united in Pakistan and it was now a very safe and secure place," he said, adding that any argument or criticism by political opponents or arguers against the State of Pakistan must not be permitted at any cost.
These measures will send a clear message to all anti-Pakistan elements that the armed forces, political parties and media houses are on one page in the larger interest of the country and these initiatives would yield far-sighted and positive results, besides placing Pakistan back on the path to socio-economic prosperity, Sohail Mohd Al-Zarooni opined.-PR
