1. Sitara Chemical is the largest energy consumer in Pakistan, keeping in view the increasing energy demands we signed a contract in 2014 with Chinese firm SHANDONG YANGGUANG ENGINEERING DESING INSTITUTE and now Alhamdulillah we are inaugurating the plant.
Mr Prime Minister, our 30-MW Coal Fired Power Plant is not a turnkey project. In fact, we ourselves selected its machinery and equipment with our own purchase mechanism to maintain best brand and quality.
2. By the grace of Allah, erection and commissioning of this plant is completed successfully and this success is the result of my son Mr Haseeb Ahmad and his professional team's efforts. Now this plant is working and producing electricity. Thus, this plant made Sitara Chemicals self sufficient in electricity requirements.
Mr Prime Minster! We have 15-megawatt surplus electricity from Sitara Chemical Industries Ltd and 25 megawatt will be from Sitara Energy Ltd. We want to supply this to the industry in our vicinity. A policy prohibits this supply, so we need NOC from the concerned authorities.
3. Another imported fact is that 98 Chinese Engineers took part in the erection and commissioning of the plant. We accommodate them in the plant and we are thankful for Punjab Police support who gave proper security to these Chinese Engineers.
4. The main point is we can extend the capacity of the plant up to 50 megawatts, which is replica to this plant, and this will facilitate us with 50-megawatt electricity in time of need. Provided that either WAPDA buy electricity from government or us allow us to distribute electricity to other industries in the vicinity. This will minimize the electricity load shedding as well.
5. Almost 260 professional are hired at plant.
CONTRIBUTION BY SITARA GROUP
Mr Prime Minister! Sitara Group of Industries is on the road of progress and advancement. We are playing our role in the development of the country. More than thousand people are working with Sitara and hundred thousand people are indirectly linked to Sitara. SCIL is among top 100 Taxpayers as we are paying tax of almost 2 billion.
TRAINING AT SITARA CHEMICALS
Mr Prime Minister! We are giving attention to the training of people for skill development since beginning. On one hand government introduced apprenticeship program on the other hand prime minister Youth internship is also launched. We offer three years training for the students of matriculation and two years training for the students of BA/B.Com.
We also offer one-year practical training schedule to fresh engineers and masters students and prepare them for industrial and business work.
With these training programs these individuals, not only meet the work force requirement of our companies but also other industries and institutions take benefits from our trained workforce.
CSR
Sitara Group is giving its valuable services in the field of educational under CSR. For instance Sitara Institute of Management & Technology (Under Trust) Aziz Fatima Educational Complex (Under Trust) Bashir Nazira Educational Complex (Under Trust) Aziz Fatima kids Campus (Under Trust) Safia Ghafoor Girls High School (Note: one director for one charity) Aziz Fatima Medical & Dental College
Now we are constructing Ali Fatima College with the plan to upgrade it to the university in near future. We need your patronage too for this project. We will fulfil all the requirements, which need to turn this college into university, as neither have we believed in short cuts nor we compromise on quality.
I trust that government will urge the corporate sector to develop educational institutions that are more instructive. If corporate sector set-up educational institutions these organisations will meet the corporate standards. With these propelled establishments, our nation will show signs of advanced educational organisations like LUMS.
Furthermore, I am in Board of Directors of NAVTTC (national vocational & technical training Commission) whose executive director Mr Zulafqar Cheema visited our institute and praised our educational and training program.
Sitara is playing its role in the welfare of people's health, education, clean drinking water. We distribute ration and cloths etc.
Furthermore, I have headed the world's most renowned organisation Association of Lions Clubs International at national level. This year 2016, I am elected to contest for International Director as I was elected as President FPCCI.
CSR ACT IN NEIGHBORING COUNTRY
In 2013, a CSR Act was introduced in our neighbouring country that requires each corporate to constitute a CSR Committee and company will spend 2% of the net profit on CSR under Companies Corporate Law.
CSR ACT IN PAKISTAN
I suggest that we should pass an act in this regard in Pakistan too. Under this act, all the major corporate companies and corporate houses should be bound to spend some portion of their net profit for the betterment and development of their workers. This is necessary to look after those who served our organisation and play vital role in the progress of these companies.
FIEDMC
I am chairman of Pakistan's largest industrial state (FIEDMC). Your efforts for the development of the industry are remarkable and I appreciate the way you are facilitating us for advancement of industry
1. We are thankful to you for giving Value Addition City and M-3 Industrial City projects the status of Special Economic Zones, which may result in speedy industrial progress and bring Foreign Direct Investment in Pakistan. This is a huge gift for Faisalabad Industry.
2. Just in a little span of one year, we brought almost 200 million dollars investment from UK, Korea, and China in M-3 Industrial City.
3. We appreciate the sincere and tireless efforts of Mr Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in this regard. During his recent visit to China, we got 110 million dollars investment for FIEDMC. This enhances confidence level of foreign investors in Pakistan for investment. This is the result of your Investor friendly Policies. Here I want to present some suggestion in this regard;
1. Kindly advise Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control for the speedy process of NOC applications for Hydrochloric Acid. The NOC may kindly be issued before the expiry of previous NOC.
2. Either WAPDA should purchase the surplus electricity of Sitara Chemicals and Sitara Energy (15 and 25 MW respectively) or they should be allowed to distribute this electricity to nearby industry.
3. Rs 25 billion were allocated from EDF fund for the EXPO CENTER of Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development & Management Company (F1EDMC). Ministry of Commerce may kindly be advised for the early process of this EXPO CENTER
4. To meet the energy requirement, we shall request your approval for RLNG based power generation license of 220MW exclusively for M-3 Industrial City.
5. There is Corporate Act 2013 in our neighbour country according to which each Corporate Company is bound to constitute a CSR Committee and expend 2% of their net profit on CSR activities. It is suggested that CSR Corporate Act may also be introduced in Pakistan so as to Corporate Companies to expend a certain percentage of their net profit on the welfare of their workers like Health, Education, and Housing Schemes etc.
6. EOBI pension may kindly be increased from Rs 5250/pm to Rs 10,000/PM or at least 50% of the minimum wage.
7. Payment percentage of WPPF (Workers Profit Participation Fund) to workers may kindly be increased from Rs 52000/- to Rs 84000/- to give maximum benefit to workers as it will be paid from Company profit and there will be no financial burden on the government.
8. There are 27 weekly international flights at Faisalabad Air Port but the existing infrastructure of Faisalabad Air Port is Poor It is requested that work on the New Faisalabad Air Port may kindly be advised to start on fast track basis. This will give boost to economic activities.

BASHIR NAZIRAN GIRLS ISLAMIC FOUNDATION
Unfortunately, in Pakistani society boys are preferred in giving education and training whereas girls are not preferred on the pretext that one day they will get married and leave the parent's house, so investing on the girls education is non productive.
The French Great Army Commander Napoleon Bonaparte's famous quotation is "Give me good mothers and I will give you a good nation". Therefore, keeping in view the above shared spirit, Bashir Naziran Girls Islamic Foundation was formed to contribute in this field as well. This foundation is playing vital role in giving education to the deserving young girls, who belong to the less privileged segment of the society.
For the benefit of the marginalized communities of Faisalabad City, who due to their financial constraints always remains standing in win-win situation for accomplishing their dreams? Due to the challenges/dilemmas faced in daily livelihood, they are not in a position to give education to their children's, especially to their girls. Therefore, with the divine Islamic concept of charity, Sitara Group has initiated a charity project under the banner of Bashir Naziran Girls Islamic Foundation.
Through this trust, the management has successfully addressed the long time inevitable issues in accordance with the social norms within the parameters of social responsibility.

SCIL has decided to play the part in serving humanity by providing primary health care to the mother and child at the doorsteps of the poor peoples of surrounding villages. In our rural areas, due to the non-availability of the required resources/development funds, basic infrastructure for communication has not yet developed. Therefore, generally our rural areas even in this modem era still exist in the backward mode. Low level literacy rate in rural areas, lack of awareness and absence of properly planned basic health facilities are creating complications / maternity issues for mothers in these areas. In this alarming situation, we find strong hold of mushroom oriented bunch of literate disguised peers, quakes and untrained midwives.
