US Midwest corn, and soya bids mostly steady

Cash basis bids on Friday for corn and soyabeans were mostly steady as farmers withheld product as they monitored modest futures advances for both grains ahead of Monday's monthly government crop reports, dealers said.
Analysts polled by Reuters expect the US Department of Agriculture on Monday to trim its US 2016 corn yield estimate and its US 2016-17 ending stocks forecast.
Analysts look for the USDA on raise its US 2016 soyabean yield estimate.
Corn bids at a river terminal in Iowa were up 2 cents per bushel, but down 5 cents for soyabeans.
