Former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry's Pakistan Justice Democratic Party (PJDP) on Saturday warned the ruling PML-N of setting up militant wings to counter the protest of rival parties. In a press statement, PJDP's spokesman Sheikh Ahsan-ud-Din said that creation of militant wings is an unlawful step according to court's decisions. "Is the PML-N taking the nation towards a civil war?" he questioned.
He further said that Pakistan could ill afford a state of civil war owing to current challenges being faced by the country. His statement came shortly after PML-N's youth wings unveiled baton-wielding forces to prevent PTI from marching towards Raiwind House, the camp office of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
