Pakistan People's Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) Chairperson Ghinwa Bhutto has called for re-investigation of Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case. Addressing a largely-attend public gathering at Garhi Khuda Bux on the eve of the 20th anniversary of her husband's murder and founding chairman of PPP-SB on Tuesday morning, she said she believed in the power of people and people would give a final verdict in Murtaza case.
Ghinwa alleged that Asif Zardari, Abdullah Shah, Shoaib Suddle, Masood Sharif, Wajid Durrani, Shakeeb Qureshi were involved in the murder of her husband. She said she was offered to join government but she refused plainly. She said she believed in the supremacy of people, who, she hoped, would vote to her party enabling PPP-SB to form government. She regretted that justice was yet to be done in the murder case of her husband.
Through a resolution, the gathering demanded fresh probe into the assassination of Mir Murtaza on the basis of Nasir Aslam Zahid Commission's report. Adopting another resolution they severely condemned the atrocities of Indian occupation forces over innocent people of held-Kashmir and demanded of the United Nations and international human rights bodies to take action against India.
On the other hand, PPP workers held a Quran Khwani at Bhutto House in Naudero where MNA Ayaz Soomro, Larkana Mayor Aslam Shaikh, District Council Chairman Khan Muhammad Sanghroo, Sikander Ali Katper, Allah Dino Bhutto and a large number of Bilawal-led PPP's workers participated. Free food was also distributed among destitute people on the occasion.
