Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider has slammed Indian brutalities and called upon the international community to press India for putting an end to the atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. He said this while talking to media here on Wednesday after paying tribute and laying floral wreath at the mausoleum of national poet Dr Muhammad Allama Iqbal.
Raja lauded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for strongly raising Kashmir issue at the world forums. "The Kashmiris have full confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif." Responding to a question, Haider said India's enmity was not hidden on China Pakistan Economic Corridor project which was a game-changer for Pakistan's economy.
Regarding UN resolutions on Kashmir, Raja Farooq said the Kashmiris had the right to lead peaceful lives according to their own aspirations in the light of the UN resolutions.
About the Indian designs, he said she would never wage a war as huge financial losses are involved. "The Kashmiris do not want a war with India as wars wreak havoc everywhere. Once imposed, the war could go beyond the use of traditional weapons of warfare," he said, adding India's war mongering was for only public attention as elections were due in some of the Indian provinces.
He also stressed the need to broaden the scope of Kashmir Committee, saying India wanted to isolate Pakistan on the diplomatic front. AJK Minister for Information Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas and Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood were also present on the occasion.
