Ministry of Interior has taken notice of illegal appointments and transfers in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and sought report from Director General (DG) FIA. An official said that Ministry of Interior has sought report from DG FIA regarding reappointment of Deputy Director Establishment FIA Nawazul Haq Nadeem despite that he was relieved from the agency for attending Mid Career Management Course (MCMC) training by the Ministry of Interior and FIA.
He said that according to establishment division rules and regulations an officer once nominated for MCMC can not attend his office and is bound to vacate his post. According to the notice issued by Minister of Interior, a complaint was received from an employee of FIA that Deputy Director Establishment FIA Nawazul Haq Nadeem is attending his office for disposal of official business despite having been relieved from FIA for undertaking MCMC training by this ministry and FIA.
As per instruction issued by the establishment division an officer once relieved from his post for undergoing promotion training which is a dedicated and full time activity, can not attend office. The complaint was verified discretely and whereby it was established that the said officer is attending his office. Shahid Nawaz Gondal Deputy Director logistic FIA was assigned the additional charge of the post of deputy director establishment during the training period of Nadeem with the approval of Ministry of Interior. However, FIA failed to comply with the orders of Ministry of Interior and instruction of Establishment division.
Ministry of Interior directed DG FIA to immediately implement order of the Ministry and sent charge relinquishment report in respect of Nawazul Haq Nadeem for attending MCMC training as well as charge assumption report in respect of Shahid Iqbal assigning him the additional charge of the post Deputy Director to the ministry. Responsibility of the officer, who failed to comply with the orders of the competent authorities as detailed above may be fixed and report in this regard be sent to the ministry for perusal by the competent authority and initiating further necessary proceedings against him.
