Victims of Lyari's Jhat Pat Market blast get compensation cheques

Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Muhammad Ali Malkani alongwith Lyari MPAs Javaid Nagori and Ms Sania Naz distributed 48 compensation cheques among victims of Jhat Pat Market Lyari blast at Commissioner Office here. Chairman DMC South Malik Fayyaz, PPP leaders Haji Qasim Baloch, Khalil Hot, Khaliq Jan, Aslam Baloch, Iqbal Baloch, Naveed Bizijo, besides Commissioner Karachi Aijaz Ali Khan, DC South Saleem Rajput and relatives of victims and injured person were also present, said a statement on Thursday.
Compensation cheques amounting to Rs 500,000 and Rs 100,000, were handed over to relatives of dead and injured, respectively. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Livestock Muhammad Ali Malkani apologized delay in compensation cheques and said that they are with victims of blast and sympathized with the families who lost their beloved one in incident. The Minister pointed out that delay was caused due to official procedures and said that these cheques are to provide some relief to them. Malkani said that PPP was always with people of Lyari and will never forget and left them alone in any difficult time. MPAs, Ms Sania Naaz, Javed Nagori and Malik Fayyaz also spoke on the occasion and sympathized with the relatives of victims and injured.
