The world's first fully automatic jeans machine has been displayed for the visitors first time in Pakistan in a three-day GTex International B2B Textile Machinery Brand exhibition opened in the Expo Centre, Lahore, on Wednesday. Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council Engr Jawed Qureshi and MNA Kiran Dar inaugurated the event. CEO Global Enterprise Mujib R Siddiqui, Naeemuddin of United Machinery, Kamran Abbasi and other exhibitors were also present on this occasion.
They visited various stalls and applauded efforts of organisers to bring new technology through this event. Talking to media persons, Engr Jawed Qureshi said the government should join hands with private sector to organise such shows for boosting exports as this is first responsibility of the government to increase imports. The government should make TDAP more functional and helpful to increase volume of imports. The business community should be facilitated and offered incentives for more investments. They should be provided cheap electricity and its availability should be also ensured. The government should go for hydel power, he stressed.
MNA Kiran Dar said the government is now taking efforts to facilitate investors to all sectors. Talking about the event CEO Global Enterprise, Winner of "Brand of the Year Award" in Event Management, Mujib R Siddiqui said GTex International B2B Textile Machine Brands Expo is the largest and the most successful event of its kind in the region, which after a continuous efforts and developments of 16 years has become one of the world's best sourcing platform in Pakistan.
As many as 97 companies with 399 brands have participated in the expo. About 67 foreign delegates from European countries and China have also displayed their products in the exhibition. More than 15,000 visitors are expected during three day expo which will continue till Friday.
