World Teachers Day celebrated in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The World Teachers’ Day was celebrated here Friday and a function organized under the auspices of district Peshawar.

Besides, District Naib Nazim, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Shahid Ali, Director Education, Farid Khattak, District Education Officer (DEO) Jadi Khan Khalil, the function was also attended by the teachers and students at large.

In this connection, a function for women teachers was also organized at Government Lady Grifth, which beside DEO (Female), Sofia Tabbasum Assistant Commissioner (AC) Peshawar Sara Rehman was also attended by a large number of teachers and students.

During the function, students presented national songs and tableau.

On this occasion, the speakers highlighted the crucial role of teachers in the society and said that they play fundamental role in the training of the students.

Addressing the function, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shahid Ali said that teachers play the role of backbone in the development of society.

He on behalf of the district administration announced ‘Teacher Tribute Award’ for the teachers.
