Leaders of the legal fraternity have expressed their solidarity with Pakistan army against Indian aggression and urged the government to take up the matter of violation of human rights at all international forums. Speaking at a joint press conference on Tuesday, President Supreme Court Bar Association, Syed Ali Zafar said the entire legal fraternity of Pakistan was determined to stand side by side with its armed forces, government and the nation on any aggression against their homeland.
Presidents of the Lahore High Court Bar Association, Lahore Bar Association and Lahore Tax Bar Association also spoke on the occasion. Ali Zafar lauded the initiative of the government to call All-Pakistan Conference to discuss a unanimous action plan against the Indian acts of violence. He said India wanted to divert attention of the world from its human rights violations in Kashmir and damage the CPEC project.
He also suggested the government to engage Chinese and Russian media to expose cruel face of India to the world. The Bar president lamented that the world organisations and NGOs were ignoring the war crimes committed by the Indian forces. He said if India cancelled the Indus Water Treaty unilaterally, it would be a violation of the agreement as well as the international law.
