HCCI demands supply of filtered water

The Chairman HCCI Sub-Committee on Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Abdul Waheed Shaikh has invited the attention of the Managing Director WASA regarding supply of unfiltered water to many areas of urban localities of Hyderabad. He said that due to supply of unfiltered water, the citizens are suffering numerous health issues which must be noticed by the authority concerned.
The WASA should ensure the supply of filter and safe water to the citizens, he demanded. He also expressed his concern over no cover on manholes in various localities of Hyderabad City and Latifabad which posing threats to the lives of the people as a result of frequent accidents. He demanded the Managing Director WASA to issue directives of covering all open manholes with immediate effect as well as ensuring the cleanliness on priority at the places of Masajid, Imambargahs and routes of the mourning processions during the month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
