Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Tuesday visited various areas close to Line of control in Samahni, Chamb, Barnala, Nikyal sectors in Mirpur and Abbaspur area to express solidarity with the affectees of Indain firing. During the visit, he was briefed about the problems faced by the local people due to unprovoked Indian firing.
Speaking on the occasion, the AJK Prime Minister said the people of Kashmir are ready to sacrifice their lives in case of any aggression from the enemy. He said people of AJK fully stand with Pakistan Armed Forces. He rejected Indian claims of surgical strikes in Pakistani soil as baseless. He said earlier the Indian side also orchestrated drama of Uri attack to malign Pakistan.
Senior Minister Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Raja Maqsood Khan, Raja Razzaq Khan, Raja Ali Shan and Raja Ejaz Khan also addressed the audience. Earlier when Prime Minister arrived at Samahni, PML-N leader Raja Maqsood Khan and Raja Munir Ullah Khan welcomed him. This was first time in the history of Tehsil Samahni that any AJK Prime Minister ever visited Samahni. The PM also addressed the members of village defence committees and affectees of Indian firing on LoC and said that they are fully alert with our brave Army to defend ourselves.
Prime Minister said that AJK government would resolve all issues of local population along the LoC. Prime Minister also called on "Salar e Jamuriat" Sardar Skandir Hayat Khan at his residence. At Abbaspur, while addressing the gathering, PM appealed to United Nation and peace loving countries of the world to take serious notice of Indian aggression at Line of Control.
He strongly condemned the unprovoked Indian shelling at Line of Control and urged the United Nation to ensure the safety of civilian population residing at LoC. Minister for Information Mushtaq Minhas said that India was misleading its nation and has no capacity to run surgical strike in Azad Kashmir. Member AJK Legislative Assembly Yasin Gulshan, Abdul Maman, Zafar Kiani, Shafiq Inqlabi and others also addressed the gathering. On Tuesday morning PM took the ariel route to visit the affected area close to LoC by Indian firing.
