Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, after inauguration of Punjab Safe City Project, presided over a high-level meeting at Integrated Command & Control Centre, which reviewed in detail security arrangements for protection of life and property of people on Youm-e-Ashur.
The Chief Minister directed that security measures for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere on Youm-e- Ashur should be monitored continuously and no effort should be spared for ensuring law and order. He said no negligence towards implementation of security plan evolved for this purpose would be tolerated and the code of conduct should be strictly implemented. He said cabinet committee of law and order should continue implementation of the security plan for maintaining civic peace. Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah, Spokesman Punjab Government Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Special Assistant Rana Maqbool Ahmed, Chief Secretary, Inspector General Police, Secretary Home and senior officials of law-enforcement agencies were present on the occasion.
