Ashura observed in Faisalabad division amid tight security

The Youm-e-Ashur (10th Muhrram-ul-Haram) was observed Faisalabad Division peacefully amid tight security to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Grand Son of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) Hazrat Imam Hussein (RA) and his companions.
Multiple processions including Tazias, Allams and Zuljinnah took place under tight security along the routes of processions to avoid any untoward incident in Faisalabad, Chiniot, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh Districts. Army, Police and local administrations took strict security measures to maintain law and order on the occasion. The main mourning procession of the 10th of Muharram ended peacefully at the Rajoa Saadaat Chiniot, where 72 Taboots of 72 Shudaiy-e-Karbla and 68 Allams taken out along with Zuljinnah after Asar prayers.
The second main procession was taken out from Imam Bargah Hussainpura Dhobi Ghatt Faisalabad, which was addressed by Allama Majid Raza Abidi at Clock Tower and in Sham-e-Ghareeban. Third procession was taken out in Jhang City. During Zangeer Zani, more that 71 Azzadaars admitted in Allied and DHQ hospitals, while more that 3,000 discharged after medical aid from private and official camps established in Clock Tower and Chiniot.
In Industrial City, strict security arrangements have been made along the routes of processions to avert any untoward incident. Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha, RPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana, DCO Salman Ghani and CPO Afzaal Ahmad Kausar remained active whole the day and visited Chowk Clock Tower, Sitayana Road, Peoples Colony and other sites of Ashura Muharram processions and supervised administrative and security arrangements.
Talking to mediamen Divisional Commissioner said that Ashura processions and majalis in the division were held in congenial environment while ideal atmosphere of sectarian harmony was witnessed among all schools of thoughts during the day. He said strict security arrangements were made by districts and police administrations to avoid any incident.
He mentioned that heavy contingents of police and other forces were deployed at all the entry and exit points in sensitive areas to ensure security of the people. Divisional Commissioner appreciated the remarkable role of Ulema, traders, media and civil society to maintain peace during Ashura.
