Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad police has arrested seven persons including six women allegedly involved in looting houses and also recovered gold ornaments and cash from their possession, a police spokesman said. After receiving few complaints, SIU team headed by SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas constituted a team under the supervision of DSP CIA Bashir Noon which included Sub-Inspector Azam, ASI Tasneem, Lady Constables Rehana and Nasreen.
This team worked hard and arrested a gang of seven persons including six females looting houses in guise of housemaids. Police recovered stolen valuables including gold necklace, two ear rings and Rs 35,000 from their possession. They have been identified as Rubina, Shahnaz, Firdos, Rukhsana, Ayesha, Akhtar Naseem and Salim.
They confessed to loot various house s in area of Sabzi mandi, Golra and Karachi Company police stations. Further detailed investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated the performance of police team who arrested these thieves and announced cash prizes as well as commendation certificates for members of police team.-PR
