18-member delegation visits SAU

The 18-member delegation consisting of representatives from various occupational groups and services visited Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, for inland study tour. The delegation led by Adnan Rafique, who is a senior faculty member at National Management College Lahore, was briefed about SAU status, academia curriculum, recourses and facilities by Hafeezullah Memon, Registrar and Syed Noman Shah.
On the occasion, Dr Saghir Ahmed Sheikh, Dean Faculty of Agricultural Crop Production, SAU Tandojam also briefed the delegation. Talking to the officers, Dr Sheikh said that the foremost objective of agriculture in Pakistan is to ensure adequate production and availability of food for the population and provide livelihoods to people directly involved in the sector along with the value adding chain and this objective can be achieved when all stakeholders would play their role in an effective manner. He added that the affiliated colleges of University in Dokri and Khairpur are giving education to students of related areas and in future the university is opening Livestock college in Umerkot in the next year.
