Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday said that his party is not against merger of FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Talking to a delegation of his party leaders and workers in Peshawar, he said JUI-F will accept every decision, accepted to the majority of the tribesmen.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman called for early implementation of FATA reforms package. However, he said that it was agreed that government would be asked to accept all demands that could give tribal people their due rights, and their future would be decided in accordance with their will. He said that all political entities should be taken on board regarding FATA problems.
Fazl said the JUI-F had been playing its due role in the fight for the rights of the tribesmen and was not against merger of FATA into KP. He said that his party never wanted to create problems; rather it struggled to solve them amicably through dialogue. He also demanded that census should be conducted in FATA without further delay and a development package be announced for the area. He said tribesmen had rendered matchless sacrifices for motherland, so they should give all due rights, and facilities at their doorsteps.
