Killing of two shopkeepers: alleged injured robber held from CHK

Police on Thursday apprehended an alleged robber in injured condition from Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK). The accused was involved in a firing incident in the metropolis, police said on Thursday. According to police sources, two robbers entered a bakery at Paper Market in Kharadar with a robbery bid on Thursday morning. Bakery owner, Mumtaz, opened fire at them with his licensed weapon. In the incident, a robber suffered injuries while the bakery owner and a salesman, Akhtar, were killed in the robbers firing.
After killing them, robbers fled the scene. Police contacted hospitals in searching injured accused and found that a man was present at CHK for treatment of his bullet injury. They took an action and apprehended him.
