Chairman Pakistan People's Party's (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday appointed Nisar Ahmed Khuhro as President PPP's Sindh chapter. Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and Mola Bux Chandio were the three pick for the slot; however, Bilawal after long deliberations and consultation with party's senior leaders and Sindh Co-ordination Committee members decided in the favour of Khuhro.
Earlier, the PPP chairman conducted individual interviews of each candidate at Bilawal House. The candidates shared their ideas and suggestions to meet the aspiration of people and party workers. Addressing a press conference at Bilawal House, Khuhro said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had given him huge responsibility by making him PPP Sindh President. He said he would use all his energies to reach out to every single citizen in Karachi and across the province and would work hard to make the city a strong PPP constituency once again.
He said that recently the people of Karachi had rallied under the dynamic leadership of Bilawal on October 16 and as he now was made PPP Sindh President his prime job would be bringing Karachiites under the umbrella of PPP. Adviser to Sindh CM on information Moula Bux Chandio, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Minister for Agriculture Sohail Anwar Sayal, Adviser to CM on Labour Senator Saeed Ghani, Sindh Co-ordination Committee members Rashid Hussain Rabbani, Waqar Mehdi, Najmi Alam, Zulfiqar Kaimkhani and other PPP leaders were also present at the press conference.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah said that though he was a born political worker and had association with PPP but he started active politics in 2002 and at that time, Khuhro was the parliamentary leader of PPP in Sindh Assembly. He said he had learned a lot from PPP's two seniors, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Khuhro and regards them as his mentors. He said that PPP would sweep 2018 general elections with the support of the masses.
