Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Senator Sirajul Haq on Tuesday said that plunderers in the government and the so-called opposition did not want to return the looted money. Addressing members of Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA), Siraj said: "Thieves cannot hold accountability of other thieves." He said the prime minister never appeared before a court of law for accountability but presented him thrice on television only. The JI chief said the country could not be put to right direction which is being ruled by corrupt and dishonest leaders.
He said the election commission and all anti-corruption institutions were hijacked by the rulers. He hailed the struggle of lawyers against former dictator Pervez Musharraf and said another movement was crucial to defeat the system of exploitation. He said the JI was going to hold "curb-corruption" march in Lahore on October 30. Haq also condemned the terrorist attack in Quetta.
